Policy Research & Evaluation

Independent research and evaluation that shapes clean energy and climate policy

ADS conducts independent research on energy and climate issues to inform national policy and priorities. We also carry out socio-economic research into the root causes of poverty, including limited access to education, healthcare, and employment, and study how economic policies and social systems affect marginalized communities.

Humanitarian Response

Compassionate, dignity-centered response to climate-related disasters

ADS provides humanitarian response to communities hit by floods, hurricanes, wildfires, and droughts. We work with local partners on disaster preparedness and climate resilience, and deliver relief such as food, water, shelter, and medical assistance, with a focus on dignity, respect, and empowerment.

Advocacy & Campaigning

ADS works closely with policymakers, aid organizations, and international financial institutions to provide policy and strategic advice, and collaborates with reporters, editors, filmmakers, and social media content creators to build public awareness of fossil fuel's impacts and advocate for a just transition to renewable energy and climate justice.

Capacity Development

Empowering Communities for a Sustainable Future Through Innovative Development Solutions

ADS builds the capacity of NGOs, civil society organizations, and human rights activists through trainings, seminars, media workshops, policy briefs, and evidence-based research. This work deepens understanding of human rights covenants and UN mechanisms, including periodic reporting requirements. It also raises awareness of the roles played by national commissions on human, women, child, and minority rights.
